Courtyard Thursday!

It has been 5 wonderful summers so far; inspite of the "D" drama, we still managed to survive. Thanks to his persuasion, hardwork, and appeasing skills. As a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, we are again going into a sweet slumber at our annual hideout... the courtyard. This year (our sixth summer), I've chosen to cut down on my stuff and just refrain from bringing an entire luggage to our 45-minute roadtrip. Ahaha I know, the blondeness in me. So here are my summer-lovin' essentials... I've decided to just bring 2 pairs of swimwear, and 3 kinds of sunscreen and sunglasses. Come soon tomorrow.=)

Ahaha! The card is just too cute for words. Awww... But I know mummy is the least happy about this. What's a girl to do, Manang accepted the delivery. =)The pretty black card arrived last Wednesday, and Thursday was just boring in the office, let alone my major mood swing (time of the month). At an impulse, me & my favorite girl at work drove off the SM to grab 'em coffee fix... Hot Hazelnut Mocha.

I tried the Mango card with a Promod beauty. Haha! I guess mums just know best! Still, this is better than anti-depressants.

the RITE to ice cream, binge?

Sundate. In observance of the Holy Week, Le Jansen and I decided to stay in, at my home after hearing mass. Dinner by dad was just yum, filled our tumblyS crazy. But really, this was more than just observing the lenten season because for the first time in our 6 years together, Twixo brought a DVD of the genre that he pledged no allegiance to, at all! Talk about sacrificing or penitence, ha! I won't go about embarassing my hunkyhubb here though on how he reacted to the scary scenes, but yeah, my toughie loathes these type of films but he finished it with me before hitting to Carlok at 9:30pm.

The binge? What is sweeter than sharing spoonfuls of this baby with my T.=)

debut of le jumpsuit

I've never imagined myself in a jumpsuit. It seemed too "fashionista" for me, which I am not. However, 2 weeks ago, my friend who had goodies from the US talked me in to getting the only jumpsuit that she was selling. So yeah, when I tried it on, it was really comfortable and lightweight. To make a long story short, I GOT IT, for numerous reasons, mostly practical.=P

Today, as I dressed for work in skinnies, booties, and rolled-up polo, just when I stepped out the door; it didn't feel right because the afternoon was beyond humid! I knew that even with the car AC in full blast to my 10-minute drive to work, skinny jeans would be very uncomfortable. It's that kind of humid! Hence, an excuse to debut the jumpsuit, my tangerine-rust-can be mistaken for red, jumpsuit.

And I was not wrong, it was really comfortable. But this will be the first and last jumpsuit I guess... it isn't just my style. I got raves from work though. Downside, it made me look even paler than I already am. Ahhh, tan, must you be so hard to get? Tanning lotion I'm so ready for you!=)

dress code: NONE

One of the things that I am thankful for at work is, we do not have to dress CORPORATE. But that doesn't mean I'll present myself in jammies or in le hubb's jerseys. For the rest of the week here's how laid back I looked.

Binge?

on Wednesday, upon a quick dinner-break to Ayala. Le hot hazelnut mocha. Yum! Reminded me so much of Nutella... I should have gone to Chocolatier then, eh.

on Friday, just after work at 11pm. At home I took advantage of my wifi, wrote on my journal, and indulged in iced hazelnut mocha. PLUS, Starbucks I2 was giving Via for free.

After this 2-day binge, I realized that Starbucks' Caramel Macchiato will always be my first and most favorite love.=) Oh well, if SBX can come up with a Twix drink then who knows... (cornball!)

summer lovin' corduroy

Summer has been evident lately and for some reason I hate wearing 'em skinnies; hence, trousers... in corduroy.

first for the nth

First entry for the nth time. (this is not a literary masterpiece; I'm not vying for a Pulitzer Prize.)

First of six things.

1. The first time I felt a helmet over my bob.

2. The first time I rode a bike, from my home to le hubb's. (Vtec's sick right now & he wouldn't allow me to drive at night.)

3. The first time I wore shorts to mass because le hubb thought it'd be more comfortable for me in it while backridin' on his bike (phew! I actually thought I'd get condemned).

5. The first time we watched Junior Masterchef Aus TOGETHER... I didn't know he loved it as much as I did. It was funny he concluded I was biased because I cheered for Sofia. Biased, coz he thinks the kid looks kind of like me. My favorite is Nick though. Spoiler: Isabella won as per the show's site.

6. The first time in over 7 years that le hubb's mum gave me something really old and worn... My hottie of a biker/sabongero/opao's Senior Highschool jersey! No. 9 ftw!
