Saturday was strictly business, not that it was imposed but there was really nothing that got our eyes go GA-GA for; however, we did snag a couple of pretty little something2xs. I guess I just will not leave the mall, empty-handed. Tried and tested.

Hardcore encore TOPSHOP

TOPSHOP's meanest encore for the End of Season Sale (July 27-July 31).

I was ecstatic when my BFF told me about "THE SALE" when she read le shop's post on FB last night... and I was not dissapointed at all... because I did not go over my self-imposed budget!!! Here's my haul for July 27 (hehe):
petite tulip peterpan top (P1,272.50 from P2,545.00)scallop vest in camel (P597.50 from P1,195.00)

scallop vest in mint (P597.50 from P1,195.00)

fluro embroidered gypsy top (P1,122.50 from P2,245.00)

buckle detail pouch bag (P1,997.50 from P3,995.00)
black daisy spot print shorts (P1,397.50 from P2,795.00)

Of course, I'd be lying if I'd say that I just did my shopping at Topshop today because since July 1 (when THE SALE started), we have been cheating on MNG and Promod with the latter. Hehe, but of course no explanations or reasons required! It's Topshop... THE SHOP!

Flipsters to the rescue!

Due to my super straight legs, I've given heels, stilletos, and wedges, a chance to give my ankles some definition. But I must admit that nothing compares to the comfort a flat pair can give, especially when I'm out and about the mall. My BFF discovered Flipsters upon an errand to restoerun for a very reasonable price, P890.00. So a week after, I decided to check it out with her, and voila we both got a pair! Hers in black and mine in brown... the downside, just after 7 days (that Sunday, when we got em), Ladybag and restoerun already marked the price up to P990.00. Pfft! I assure you though, that you will not be sorry with it. Not only does it come in a pretty pouch, foldable, and kept with a pretty purple baller band, it can also withstand the rain and dries fast! I should know, because one bad, rainy, Wednesday... my BFF and I had to cross and run through the rain, jumped in a puddle of rain water, (not much of a jumper, I failed P.E. in my first term of college) to go to the parking lot and just when we got inside the mall it was already drying, even before we could finish cleaning our feet with wet wipes. My new superhero?! Lol!

le' satchelies

I've sworn on my LC's that they are my favorite even if the fake ones are strewn all over the city, because I can literally bring all of my stuff; just shove it in and I'm good to go.

My Bff and I first learned about the Cambridge satchel over some blog, we lusted on it yes, because we are suckers for Proenza Schuler's satchels but are in no way able to afford it. Cambridge was the next best thing at just over 6 grand. When Daryl Chang from Preview Magazine did a debut on her satchel in flourescent orange, we were envious but thought that it will just pass. Sometime in May, just when my very handsome Twixo spoilt me with shopping money; Schu was already merchandising the coveted satchels... and for some odd reason, me and my BFF just brushed it off and forced ourselves to believe that the bag was too stiff and tiny. Then the dreadful happened (exaggeration)... My dearest cousin bought a 13" Cambridge satchel in solid green. Haha and the rest is history because we were just green with ENVY. Came June 1, I excused myself from work at exactly 9:45am, went to the mall and literally knocked on Schu's door because they were not open yet and bought the babies from inset. My Bff got the red one and mine, mustard. To date, it is my favorite everyday bag (hers too). It taught us le valuable lesson of simplifying... MAYN! The 11" satchel is real tiny you barely could fit your coin purse; however, I am inlove with it... even if it means giving up my Dior make-up kit. 'must be true love. <3

too much is always better!

So I have been an absentee for the longest and tbh I've just been one lazy bum. Alot of things changed, from my plans of the future, to my work now, and obviously my closet! 'been shopping alot (void of bragging); and I couldn't keep up anymore. It doesn't help that you are an only child and you have a man who spoils you with YES' all the way and a BFF who buys the same stuff that you find TDF, in short, the most supportive of this sickness cause she's "blessed" with it too. I love being a big spoilt though. My Jansen (ugh, sux that you're sick today babe) has been the most cooperative with the End of Season Sale, most especially with my recent haul because since the varsity jacket, he approves of anything TOPSHOP. It's crazeeeee! I am surely loving this vacay off from work.

CRuSH and BUy!

I took the afternoon off for the following:

I just could not wait until Thursday; hence, Tuesdate with my BFF. My JMJ surprised me with some shopping money on Sundate and I've been crushing on this varsity jacket (thanks to Caroline) for a month now and the dress for a week. I'm one happy brat. He also gave me a real sweet Hallmark. Awwww, can life be any sweeter?!=) They aren't designer but if it's Topshop and Mango then I'm lovin' retail!

tsk, there's NO changing who someone is.

My Bff introduced me to this cool new site and so far this really caught my eye. Haha some sense of familiarity. Oh well!

thank God for family and parcels.

Whooppeee look what I got from the parcel! I'm missin' Australia by the minute, Ashfield Mall and walks down the park at Dulwich Hill. Sigh... This, btw, is the yummiest hazelnut spread, better than Nutella in my opinion. The texture is just perfect and the sweetness... too much! Lol! Hello calories! and as how they say it down under, to my cousin, Thanks heaps!

atypical wednesdate.

'capping it off with window shopping at what we want to call our second home, Ayala Center, after grandes at SBX! Yes nothing happened more than window shop, so I guess today is an achievement. Le Bff debuted her maxi dress turned maxi skirt, the most coveted look was inspired by Gwen S. I've worn mine some days ago at work. By the title, I mean it's not the usual day for us girls. We drove off to the Uni (USC-TC) earlier in the day and decided to get lost in... S&R! Lol! Like what do we do there, other than binge on their ginormous yum pizza and unlimited soda! Well, read on below...

on her: MNG sheer top, SM belt, Sunny Side Up maxi, Topshop sandals , and accessories by Jackie O'My. on moi: Maldita sheer top, SM belt, Terranova skinnies, Matthew's for CMG sandals, and Promod sling purse.

Fat choco chip muffin and fudge striped oatmeal cookies...

Haha and hoarding on sugar to fill Le hubb's stash in his room for those movie nights. I spoil him too you know. It's not all about me... sometimes! *winx*

Wednesdate at S&R, 'not that hard to figure out, eh!

Spoiler!

I've been really lazy lately even if I have collated documentations of stuff to blog about. I did not intend to write tonight, 'til my convo with dad over dinner (mum's on vacay off to her hometown)... subject: MY TWIXO's new car! Too bad it fell short on being a surprise now. If only my dad can take it back! Haha! Yes, he blurted it out unintentionally, about my hunkyhubb's new red car which was supposed to be a surprise for my big day next week! Boys do talk alot, somehow! I must admit however; I find it a bit sweet that dad knew it before I did. Yknow what I mean? The two men of my life. Awwww....

Happy Mother's day Mama, Mum, and Mummy!

This year, I had the pleasure of celebrating mother's day to it's fullest. Le hubb's mum was in town and I was just extremely happy to make all three smile with my little-somethins.

for my mum, who's a big coffee addict!

for le hubb's mum, and dearest mummy (his aunt). Emanuel Ungaro's Diva and a pretty gold-plated brooch that I got from Rustan's, respectively. Thank you Mums for all of the the love and support, especially during the toughest times.=) You three helped me alot when hurricane "D" came and gave me one big, fat, reason to hold on. I love you.

DRESS CODE: summer

From May 2-6, we are asked to dress 'SUMMER' at work.

Day 1: Sheer white polo: Promod Braided brown slim belt: SM Distressed denim shorts: Thrifted Sheer summer scarf, that I wore as headband earlier in the day: TALLY WEiJL Sandals: Matthews for CMG Purse: Longchamp le pliage mini tote in Bilberry

Day 2: Blue polo: MNG White shorts: Milk Scarf: WGC Boho Purse: MNG Denim wedge: Mars Dragonfly Earrings: Promod Jelly watch: Nike Presto

Day 3: Distressed denim skirt: No-brand Belt: SM Tee: XXI Sandals: Diana Ferrari Necklace: Opal (I got from my first trip to OZ; a shop near the Opera House)

day 4 and 5 = RESTDAY (hehe)

Trippin' Thrifty on a Monday!

Downtime on a Monday. Following a workmate's rave about cheap finds at WGC, I thought why not... and voila here are my impulse buys! Pfft!

White AE cami at 249.00 (an overrun) and the Brown knitted vest at 349.00.

Teal summer scarf only at 99.00!
and my favorite find of all, a black straw cowboy hat for 79.00! Now I'm a happy camper!

the cheap challenge

Void of any stereotypical implications; my wardrobe is pretty safe. If you do an audit, my closet is composed mostly of babies from Topshop, MNG, and Promod. My other faves would have to be my Zara blazer, DVF sheer top, and H&M cropped jacket which I got as gifts from AU and CH. Yes, I have been called fussy about my clothes, but really that is just measly the reason why I go for those brands... convenience. I shop alot, I do, but more often than not, I am lazy, thus my penchant for buying clothes from those shops located on the ground floor. Just before the holy week, a mentor from work challenged me to find something cheap and nice at WGC! WGC, synonymous to grocery! I thought I'd be left empty handed; however, just half an hour and the task was easy peasy! Here is my bohemian-chic flowy top that I got for 449.00Php! Not only did I win G.Go's challenge, I also won a pretty hot top for myself!=)
inspiration:

version:

Sheer top: Promod Braided belt: SM Shorts: Lost (from Chains) Sandals: Diana Ferrari

Again, I have deviated from my allegiance to 'non-trends, stick to classy' style. I did not have the slightest as to what to wear for Sundate; hence, colorblock. It wasn't so bad afterall. How about you, are you bold enough to try it? Le debut to color blocking, I guess I will try to work it again in the coming days.
